The trail route you're about to embark on takes you through a beautiful and historic journey, where local people once traveled daily for work and other essential tasks. This route weaves through several key points and locations that showcase both the natural beauty and the rich culture of the area.

Yulchung: Your journey begins in Yulchung, a quaint village nestled in the heart of the landscape. From here, the trail continues towards Skumpata Gongma, another charming village. The path between these villages is marked by serene surroundings and scenic views, offering a peaceful transition as you make your way through the area.

Khupala Pass: When you reach Khupala, one of the best viewpoints, you’ll be greeted with a stunning view of the beautiful villages: Skumpata Gongma and Skumpata Yokma. The landscape is breathtaking and truly amazing. From there, you have to descend a little — the road is narrow and challenging, with many zigzags — but the scenery makes the journey enjoyable.

Skumpata Gongma: As you make your way further, you’ll encounter Skumpata Gongma, a significant landmark that’s both a spiritual and cultural focal point for the region. The energy here is palpable, as the spot is known for its historical importance to the local communities.

Skumpata Yokma: Continuing along the route, you’ll reach Skumpata Yokma, where you can experience a deeper sense of the area’s connection to the land and people. It’s a quieter, more reflective stop that allows travelers to pause and take in the peaceful environment.

Landscape: Along the entire trail, the ever-changing landscape offers a breathtaking mix of rugged terrain, rolling hills, and mountain vistas. The natural beauty around you will keep you captivated, with each turn offering a new perspective of the area’s varied geography.

Challenging Route: While the route is stunning, it’s also challenging. Expect steep ascents and rugged paths that require careful navigation. The physical nature of the trail makes it a rewarding experience for seasoned adventurers looking for a true test of endurance.

Traditional Homes and Farms: Throughout the route, you’ll pass by traditional homes and farms, providing an authentic look at rural life in this remote part of the world. These homes are built in harmony with nature, using local materials and age-old techniques passed down through generations.

Traditional Medicine Centre: One of the unique highlights of the route is the traditional medicine centre. Here, you can learn about the ancient healing practices that have been passed down by locals for centuries, using herbs and remedies derived from the surrounding environment.

Lingshed: Known for its traditional homes and farms, Lingshed offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the local people who have lived in harmony with the land for generations.

Lingshed Gonpa: The Lingshed Gonpa is another key point of interest along the trail and is also the finishing point of this trail route. This spiritual site is a peaceful monastery, offering a moment of tranquility and a chance to reflect on the beauty and spirituality of the region. Its cultural significance to the locals cannot be overstated.

This trail offers more than just a physical challenge; it immerses you in the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area, making it a truly enriching experience.
